I just watched the Summer 2025 Sony State of play and there were some really great games coming up I’m excited about and wanted to share.
Very Excited

- Bloodstained: The Scarlet Entanglement
- I really loved the first Bloodstained Ritual of the Night when it released in 2019, finished it, and was curious if they’d develop a sequel. I doubted it when I learned the development was a bit troubled and was thrilled when I saw the sequel promoted in today’s show!

- Lumines: Arise
- Giving the PSP game Lumines the Tetris Effect treatment? Sign me up, looks like a blast! Love the visuals and the music.

- Ghosts of Yotei
- The more time that passes, the more excited I am for the Ghosts of Tsushima sequel. I really enjoyed Tsushima and I hope the sequel is even better.

- 007 First Light
- The trailer for 007 First Light was great and very ambitious, I’m very excited and hopeful for this game, and I am looking forward to learning more.

- Nioh 3
- I loved the first two Nioh games, sadly I’m not that good at them, but they’re still a lot of fun to play. I’m hoping I will be able to click with this game even more and be able to complete it.

- Metal Gear Solid Delta
- I’m very much looking forward to MGS Delta coming in just under 3 months! This was the most gameplay I’ve seen of the game, and am excited to jump back into the kooky spy thriller series.

- Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection
- Mortal Kombat was a big game to me when it released in 1992, I had the Super Nintendo version and played it endlessly with my friends. The team at Digital Eclipse has shown great work in the past with the Atari collection, I’m excited about the same treatment with the Mortal Kombat series.

- Everybody’s Golf Hotshots
- One of my favorite games to play with friends and solo for the PS4 was Everybody’s Golf, of course I’m excited about the sequel!

- Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles
- Finally… FINALLY, the Final Fantasy Tactics series is getting an update and coming to modern consoles and PCs.
Want to Know More About

- Pragmata
- I’ve seen two trailers for this and have been puzzled yet intrigued. The character movement and hair effects looks similar to Stellar Blade. All I understand about this game is that there’s a grown human astronaut who hauls around a little girl (maybe 6 or 8 years old?) who seems to be able to interface with computer systems without touching them while not being on earth. Seems interesting, but definitely want to know more.

- Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
- I really enjoyed Ninja Gaiden on the NES, there have been a few recent games that continued on the legacy of spirit of that original (i.e. the Messenger). I’m curious what a new Ninja Gaiden in the NES side scrolling style will bring, but want to know more.
